About the Writer

“Her brain burned calories, bridges, and the candle at both ends.” 

Virginia Lee Bernal was born and raised in Florida, and she has been writing stories since she was a child. She studied Criminology, Sociology, and Forensic Psychology in school, and her day (+night, +overtime) job is being a homicide detective. 

She's a book nerd and logophile, loves tattoos and music with brilliant lyrics, and these days she's an accidental Instagram poet. She lives in Gainesville, FL with her dog, Riggs. Her biggest dream is to publish a novel that will fund Riggs' expensive tastes.
